Parents Survival Guide
E's Up is for young people living in the Portsmouth area who are having problems with Drugs, Alcohol or Solvent misuse and want help.
This Parents Survival Guide is designed to help parents and carers access substance misuse information and support.
About E's Up!
We offer free confidential specialist treatment, advice and information as well as individual sessions and support, treatments such as substitute prescribing programmes and detoxification. We work with all forms of substance misuse: drugs (any type) and/or alcohol, as well as solvents and gases.
When working with the young person we work in a systemic manner, recognising that the substance misuse is frequently not the only issue in the young persons life. Thus, we offer help and assistance in addressing a variety of issues such as accommodation, education, training, emotional issues, mental health and low self-esteem.
All the work with the young person is carried out in the community, often in the young persons own home or other appropriate non-clinical setting.
In the Portsmouth area referrals are accepted by any person, parent or professional or can be in the form of self-referral. All that is needed is a telephone call to us on
023 9282 5140 (a confidential answer phone operates outside office hours).
In the Southampton area referrals should come through any other agencies that the young person will be in contact with, such as
No Limits, Saucepans or Connexions.
