When working with the young person we work in a systemic manner, recognising that the substance misuse is frequently not the only issue in the young persons life. Thus, we offer help and assistance in addressing a variety of issues such as accommodation, education, training, emotional issues, mental health and low self-esteem.
We work in conjunction with a variety of other services such as Child and Family Therapy Services, Social Services, Youth Services, Careers, Education, Young Peoples Counselling and Leisure Services to design individual packages of care for the young person.
In working with young people we respond to the motivational needs of young people offering a quick assessment timescale.
All the work with the young person is carried out in the community, often in the young persons own home or other appropriate non-clinical setting.
Southampton City self referrals or referrals from parents need to be made via the Tier 2 Substance Misuse network, and it is suggested that the most opportune access point is No limits. Their contact number is 02380 224224. Referrals from specialist services can be accepted directly by the E's Up team at the main office on 02392 825140.
Portsmouth referrals are accepted by any person, parent or professional or can be in the form of self-referral. All that is needed is a telephone call to us on 02392 825140 (confidential answer phone outside of office hours).
